What We Believe

The Creator God

There is one God and Creator the maker of heaven and earth who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

(John 10:30, John 14:26, 2 Peter 1:5-11)

The Triune God

God, Himself is a unified and completely integrated whole who is infinitely perfect in all of His attributes which includes, but is not limited to, Love, Justice, Holiness, and Wisdom.  It is God Himself, in His Whole being, whom we are to seek to know and to love.

(Isaiah 46:9-10, Psalm 90:2, Acts 17:28)

Love

God is love and God loves all people.  It is His desire to reach out to those who are poor, oppressed, widowed or orphaned, and to heal the brokenhearted.

(Psalm 68:5,6; 1 John 4:16)

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired and empowered Word of God, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative.  It is the absolute standard of Truth, total Truth and is authored by God.

(2 Timothy 3:16 & 17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Fall of Humankind

God created humankind (men and women) in His image. Sin entered the world through disobedience and separates us from God.

(Genesis 1:26, 1 Timothy 2:5)

Sin

We all sin (miss the mark, fall short of God’s ideal) and as such we all have need of the atoning sacrifice of Christ who became the propitiation for our sins by being the one perfect and fully complete sacrifice, once, for all.

(Romasn 3:23, 1 John 2:1-2)

Salvation

Salvation is God’s plan for reconciliation.  It is the free gift of God and only comes through belief in and acceptance of the death, burial, and resurrection of God’s only son Jesus Christ.

It is essential for men and women to repent of sin and by faith receive the finished and complete work of Christ by confessing Him as Lord with their mouth and believing in their heart resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:1, & 3:24)

Taking on the Likeness of Christ

Sanctification is the ongoing, transformational and ever-expanding process of allowing the completed work of Christ, planted in our spirit at the new birth, to be developed and appropriated in our soul and body making us mature in Him.

(Romans 5 3-4, Hebrews 10:14, 1 Thess. 5:23, 2 Thess. 2:13)

Ambassadors of Christ

Believers in Christ or the body of Christ are called to the ministry of reconciliation and act as ambassadors of Christ in this world. As Christ’s personal representatives, our mission is to bring the good news of the gospel to others and teach them (disciple) about Christ and His message.

(2 Corinthians 5:20,  Matthew 28:19-20)
