Training, Education, and Credentials
Dr. Teresa M. Walters, Ed.D., LMFT, LAC, DTM
My husband Paul and I co-founded Chrysalis Connections, LLC in 2008. Our hope was to develop a relational counseling practice designed to support healthy relationships and strong families. After many years of providing services to the downtown Indianapolis and Plainfield, Indiana area, the practice has moved to historic Madison, IN.
I currently provide services for individuals, couples, and families. Clients can choose from in-office, online, and phone appointments. Available times and dates can be viewed on the online scheduler.
As an advocate for relational health with one’s self, others, and God, I support a family first directive and shared parenting paradigm.

My Approach & Philosophy
As a relationship-focused, spiritually integrative psychotherapist, family-systems coach, and marriage & family educator, I support a non-traditional, multidimensional approach to relational, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual health and healing. My private practice is relationally based, client-driven, trauma-informed, and spiritually sensitive.
I believe that relational and emotional pain and distress are not illnesses to be treated or disorders from which to recover but rather trauma responses to be validated, shared and relationally healed in a safe and supportive environment.
