Introducing the Natural Relational Health Institute
Expanding Chrysalis Connection’s Vision for Education and Faith-based Counseling
A New Face With Consistent Values
Throughout the years, my professional journey has been shaped by several wonderful online platforms. The most notable being Chrysalis Connections, LLC, the namesake and founding counseling/private practice website.

Over time, Chrysalis Connections was expanded to include Common Sense Homemaking, Sonlight Publications, and DrTMWalters.com.
Each website has been a representative aspect of my love of all things relational and a reflection of my desire to help people grow into relational, emotional, and spiritual health. They appeared at just the right moment to serve a specific purpose, connect with a unique audience, or provide a special kind of expression.
And while these sites may have appeared separate, they were always grounded in the same core convictions:
- that relationships are central to human flourishing
- that emotional and relational pain are best understood in context
- that maturity, truth, and responsibility matter
- and that lasting relational health is formed through alignment with God, self, and others
Welcome to Our Next Season of Change: The Natural Relational Health Institute
The development and implementation of the Natural Relational Health Institute (NRHI) provides a cohesive and natural opportunity to bring all of these aspects of my work together under one relationally-focused umbrella.
Rather than creating something new from scratch, NRHI serves as a gathering place, bringing together counseling practice, relational education, family systems thinking, spiritual formation, writing, and teaching into one coherent framework.
Chrysalis Connections, LLC – Now Doing Business As – The Natural Relational Health Institute
A Message from Dr. Walters
New Beginnings
Over the past several months, Chrysalis Connections has undergone several significant changes. A revamp of past protocols led to a more client-focused appointment scheduling approach, expanded online resources, and a clear shift toward developing educational and creative content. The progressive refinement of a more holistic approach to spiritual, relational, emotional, and even physical healing and wholeness has resulted in a more integrated and educationally driven framework.
The Natural Relational Health Institute is the culmination of this process. This expanded website showcases my commitment to offering a more unified, biblically sound, and family-friendly platform that continues to provide relationally focused counseling services, along with enhanced educational content and a diverse range of literary resources.
The Natural Relational Health Institute is a new beginning, founded on the insight, experience, and development that began with Chrysalis Connections and now continues in this expanded version. As God has consistently guided, grown, developed, and refined the purpose and vision of the private practice, and myself, the enlarged vision encapsulated in the Natural Relational Health Institute has proved to be both exhilarating and an additional lesson on learning how to lean even more fully into my relationship with God and seek His direction and wisdom above all else.
I am truly learning that “the ending of a thing,” is far better than the beginning. Without the lessons, successes, missteps, and insights I experienced through Chrysalis Connections, the Natural Relational Health Institute would have remained a vague, unrealized dream. And so, while the new website heralds a new beginning, it is, at its core, a continuation of a dream God birthed many years ago and continues to bring to fruition. God’s refinement process may not always be easy, but it will always result in growth, increased wisdom, and goodness.
Dr Teresa M. Walters
To all the clients I have yet to meet, and to all my clients who have walked this path with me, thank you. I pray that this expansion will add value to your life and support your efforts to Seek God, Know God, and Reflect God in all of your relationships. Thank you for joining me on this ongoing journey. I look forward to working with you in whatever capacity you find most fitting.
Always in peace,
Teresa

Why This Transition Is Taking Place
As the work has grown, so has the need for greater clarity, simplicity, and integration.
Housing-related work across multiple websites made sense for a time, but it also created unnecessary fragmentation. The Natural Relational Health Institute allows these streams to flow together, without losing their distinct voices, while offering a clearer path forward for clients, readers, learners, and collaborators.
As the work has grown, The values, commitments, and relational posture that have guided this work for decades remain unchanged.
